"I recently attended performances of "On The Ropes" and "Yellow Moon" and would just like to say how much I enjoyed them. The two performances were very different but equally enjoyable.
The theatre is going from strength to strength..."
- Marie, Newcastle
"I want to say how wonderful the show about Potted Potter was. I laughed so loudly that my Mum thought I was going to wet myself.
I think the funniest part was when Dan came out with a puppet dragon and it kissed Jeff."
- Clare, aged 7, Switzerland
""Yellow Moon" was quite stunning in its performance and The Round was the perfect venue for it."
- Nigel, Newcastle
"My son thoroughly enjoyed his first experience of the theatre."
- J, Throckley
"The Kam Tree was fantastic last night at The Round in Newcastle. My 3.5 year old loved it and my 1.5 year old (who toddled along) said 'tiger' for the first time. The English and Korean blended effortlessly. It was altogether an excellent piece of theatre with design, music, performance, script, direction all coming together beautifully.
Many many thanks.
We all look forward to seeing your next production soon!

"I will definitely return for other productions and recommend it to other mums. May I say all the staff were friendly and helpful and the building is great!"
- Anon, UK
"The theatre is great for kids as it's so small. Will definitely go back as [my son] has talked about it all day!"
- Mum, Newcastle
"Shoe Baby is one of my daughter's favourite books so we were really looking forward to it. It didn't disappoint and was adapted really well. Music was brilliant and moved quickly enough to hold attention. Was lovely to meet those who made the show and puppets afterwards, friendly, relaxed, and not rushed. Our daughter loved dancing along and found it really funny too. Altogether a great experience."
- Mum and Dad, Newcastle
"We all thoroughly enjoyed the performance. There was a good balance of fun, fear and audience participation for very young children. We'll be back!"
- Grandmother, Durham
"I don't know much about the theatre but I think it's a BRILLIANT idea and will definitely come back. Very professional, excellent use of music and props, especially as the children could hold them and pick things up. My toddler is a bit reticent. She appreciated there was no pressure to join in or be singled out"
- Mum, Newcastle
"It's a change to have the performance in the round. Vision is better and children are close to the characters, as well as sometimes being involved in the action"
- Grandmother, Newcastle
"Very interactive and lots of variety visually and aurally. They could wander around and it was safe and expected. The lighting was good too and the fast pace helped hold attention. Fantastic!"
- Mother, Northumberland
"I went to see Much Ado About Nothing by a uni group and it was amazing!! The Theatre is so unique and intimate. Brilliant! "
- K, Newcastle
"Thanks so much for your sessions with us at Ravenswood. We were really impressed with your energy and control. So many people come who can't control the kids! We've already re-played "Splat!" - great game and do-able in the classroom.
Hope we can work with you again."
